Paul Lawrence

Paul Lawrence:

Have been playing guitar since I was fifteen, when I very first heard Led Zeppelin 2 for the first time. My first band was called 'Extinction Beckons' which was apt as we did 2 gigs, and then I went off to Uni. Following this was a covers band which was called 'Matts Garage Band' - named because it was Matts band, and we rehearsed in his garage. Following on this was 2 original material bands 'Neverworks' and 'Sunstone'.....in 2000 I answered an ad and joined what became Led By Zeppelin. I am still a member of that band today.

My influences include Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour and countless others....

Know Your Enemy:

The band was formed just to play around with, Steve had taken up the guitar having been involved with bands for many years but never learnt to play, Ben, Ken and Chris have all been in bands before but found themselves "at a loose end" and wanting to play. So we got together and played. After a somewhat inpromtu appearance at Create 2009 to fill in a bit of spare time we decided to get together again and take it further. Paul Lawrence was asked to join as he could add some really electifying guitar sounds and depth to the guitar playing, Paul was pleased to join in this new project. The name ? well with three big Greenday fans in the band, what else could we call it ?
